|
Joe Juarez has a degree in Communications from Purdue University and has been with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County since September of 2006. He has been the Unit Director at our Duneland Club beginning April of 2008. Joe also works within the Duneland School Corporation in Elementary Education / Special Education.
Joe likes "seeing our members grow and become more responsible”. He also enjoys "just being able to have fun with members”. Joe’s favorite memory at the Club is of their recent Talent Show that was planned and put on by his Torch Club members. They chose to have the show benefit Toys for Tots and raised over $200, and overflowed two large boxes with toys. Joe also proudly remembers the time his members helped clean up a local park after a tornado went through Chesterton.
Joe has completed the Youth Development Advanced Leadership Program through Boys & Girls Clubs of America. He is married, belongs to the Duneland Exchange Club, and has lived in Chesterton for 15 years. |
Brittany Newton
Membership Secretary
|

|
Brittany Newton has been the membership secretary at our Duneland Club since September 2012. On a daily basis Brittany is making sure members are signing in and out, answering any questions that are asked about the club and providing solutions to problems that might arise.
Brittany’s favorite part of the day is coming to the Club and working with the kids. She feels the kids are very fun to be around and have a good sense of humor. One child even shares a joke with Brittany when she comes to the Club and makes her laugh on a daily basis. Brittany feels the job can get a little crazy at times but when the kids see she is really busy they always find a way to make her smile.
Brittany lives in Chesterton. She is the eldest of two siblings and is very close to her family. |
